Incredible. My youngest cat wouldn't stay still long enough for me to take a pic that close.

And the other one would attack you before you got that close.

Then my very first cat... well, she'd see a camera and run. She hated those things. lol.

I had the advantage of having him trapped in a cupboard at the time (he seems to enjoy very enclosed spaces, so we leave the wardrobe open for him to sleep in :P) and also that he was extremely sleepy...he had only just woken up when I took it (he doesn't like the flashgun going off)...:)

His brother (all black, very similar facially) attacked me and the camera when I last tried to take photos, drew quite a lot of blood :P Grrr....

I've found in general, cats are ambivalent towards cameras unless you get too close, or start blinding them with the flash...:)

I had a niece who would blind my first cat. I believe that's why she ran. Lol. Poor thing. She was my baby. I still miss her.

No.

I had her for 14 years. She was my best friend and the only one I talked to.

I begged my mom to let me get another cat. Not to replace her, nothing can replace her... even the cat I have now.

I haven't had any cats for that length of time, but we had a chocolate labrador that I grew up with from birth that died when I was about 14 :(

I think the thing with pets is that you can never replace them, but you can always treat another one just as well :)

She helped me feel better about myself.

Growing up I was always picked on. When I'd get home I'd cuddle to her, though sometimes she didn't like it, and tell her about my day. I just felt better talking to her than talking to my mom. I felt better after cuddling and petting her.

lol. Don't I know it. Someone who will listen and love you anyways. Even if you annoy the crap outta them. lol.
